You're already doing the work. It's time the numbers showed it.
Business education built for makers who are serious about profit not just passion.
Practical courses, strategic membership, and real support for handmade businesses that are ready to grow properly.
Who This Is For
If you’ve been making and selling for a while, you’ll already know the frustrating truth: talent gets you started, but it doesn’t build you a business. At some point, the enjoyment of making comes smack up against the reality of running a company, pricing that actually covers your costs, knowing which sales channels are worth your time, figuring out how to market yourself without feeling like you’re shouting into the void.
That’s exactly where we come in.
The Artisan Business Company isn’t a craft community or a motivational platform. It’s practical, commercial, no-fluff business education built specifically for makers who are already in business and want to run it properly. Whether you’re stuck at an income ceiling, heading to your hundredth craft fair and still getting inconsistent results, or you just know your brand needs to stop looking like it was put together on a Sunday afternoon, we’ve got the courses, the coaching, and the community to help you fix it.
I know, because I’ve been exactly there. The difference is I’ve found the way out of it and I’ve spent the last 14 years helping other makers do the same

This isn’t just someone who’s read the books.
Nic didn’t start out planning to be a business coach. She started out making jewellery she couldn’t find anywhere else, the same way most of the makers she now works with started out.
She built that jewellery business to five-figure monthly revenue and exited for six figures. She built Peony & Pine from scratch into a brand with independent retail stockists and international wholesale accounts. She’s spent 14 years working with handmade businesses through lockdowns, platform algorithm changes, and market seasons that ranged from brilliant to utterly demoralising.
She’s also answered client emails in the car in labour. She’s had the burnout that put her completely flat. She’s had the craft fairs that didn’t cover the pitch fee and the months where nothing seemed to work no matter what she tried.
She’ll be honest about all of it. She won’t pretend she had it figured out from day one, and she won’t pretend she does now either. What she will do is give you the most commercially straight-talking, practically grounded help you’ve had, from someone who has actually done it.
Real Stories, Real results
Don't take our word for it, look at the amazing things said about our community and coaches.
“She knows her stuff without a doubt. She’s been with me since I first started trying to sell my artwork at 19 and she’s helped me build the business I run today.”
“The courses are the right balance, professional content that actually feels personal. Backed by real knowledge of what it takes to build a business. They’ve been a genuine driving force in where my business is today.”
“Every session I came away with something I could actually use and a clearer picture of where I was taking my business. The direction I got from those calls is still what I’m building on.”

Pricing, craft fair strategy, marketing that doesn’t make you want to hide, the blog covers the things that actually move the needle for a handmade business. No fluff, no filler.
For one quarter a year, the person paying for your work is rarely the person who’ll use it. She’s anxious, short on time and buying for someone she can’t read. Your product page was written for somebody else entirely, and she can tell.

On the 14th of November one year, I decided my website needed rebuilding. Not tweaking. Rebuilding. I lost eleven days and gained a homepage nobody looked at, because they were all on the product pages buying things I hadn’t restocked.
The Price Answer
A woman picked up a necklace and before she’d finished asking what it cost, I’d said “it’s £48, but I can do £40”. She hadn’t asked for a discount. I know she’d have paid full price, because she bought two.
The Warm Hundred
A woman called Margaret bought from me every November for four years. I never once emailed her. I spent those same Novembers trying to get in front of strangers, and I have thought about it a great deal since.
